The FA President of Mauritius Sohba Mohammad Ally Samir says his National team players are not greedy adding that they do not take money before representing their national team.
The FA boss made this comment speaking to Kumasi base Otec FM ahead of Mauritius AFCON qualifier clash against the Black Stars on Sunday.
He, however, vowed that Mauritius will beat Ghana at their homeland on Sunday.
“Black Stars is one of the best teams in Africa and have quality player’s as well, but we will teach coach Maxwell that in football anybody can become a winner”….he said
“Our players are not greedy player’s, they don’t take money before playing for us and don’t play for money as well but rather play with their hearts, for the nation, and for the supporters. People use to donate to the player’s if they play to their satisfaction and sometimes we give them $200 to $500 if they win a match.
“Black stars players taking $10.000 is not surprised because de GFA has more money” He added.
The Black Stars take on Mauritius on June 5, for the game reverse encounter of the 2017 AFCON Qualifier match.
Ghana is leading Group H with 10 points and a point in Mauritius will seal their place at next year’s AFCON in Gabon.
