The Association of Manchester United Fans in Ghana has announced its plans to organize an All-Night service and Friday prayers to thank God for their Europa League success and qualification for the Champions league next season.
President of the Association Hussein Hassan in an exclusive interview with sportsxtra.com.gh indicated that the all night service will take place at the ICGC Temple, followed by Friday Prayers at the Central Mosque.
“I am very happy for the win. I think the call for an all-night service is in the right direction. I will personally also lead the Friday prayers at the Central Mosque in Accra,” Hussein stated.
Joseph Hanson, formerly an Arsenal fan, now a committed Manchester United supporter also gave his full backing to the thanksgiving ceremony, recalling some of his painful experiences when he was a Gunner.
“It has been a difficult journey over the years waiting for Wenger to retire. It’s been so long since I celebrated any major trophy while I was still an Arsenal fan. That informed my decision for a move. Thankfully Mourinho has given me a new hope. I think it is very important we pray for the team. I will be at the all night event,” Joseph Hanson stated.
It is still unclear when the event is scheduled to take place but Mr. Hussein is very confident it will be held before the close of June.
