Former Ghana Sports Minister, Mallam Issah, has chastised Black Stars Head Coach Avram Grant, for failing to improve the standards of the National team and deliberately ignoring the players within the Ghana Premier League into the Black Stars.
Ghanaians have raised serious concerns with Black Stars Coach, Avram Grant’s decision not to give more playing time to the locally-based Ghanaians whenever they are called into the Black Stars team.
The former Chelsea manager has come under intensive pressure and bashings from the Ghanaian media following the consistent performance decline of the national team since taking over as the head Coach.
Ex- Sports Minister Malam Issah believes the Israeli trainer is lazy and technically bankrupt hence has nothing better to offer the country.
Malam Issah went on to call on the Football Association to get in touch with former Coach Kwesi Appiah to take charge of the team.
”Avram Grant talks nonsense, he talks rubbish, if the Ghana Football Association is bigger than any politician then am very surprise. What exceptional players has Avram Grant added to the Black Stars? He is still using the old players Coach Kwesi Appiah introduced to the team,” he told Takoradi-based Spice FM.
“The Coach is doing nothing with the Black Stars. I previously suggested let’s support Coach Kwesi Appiah and resolve issues with him so he can manage the Black Stars rather than bring foreign Coaches. There are so many talents in Ghana if we are to utilize them it will help in developing our football.”
The Black Stars are currently preparing for their international friendly against Russia on Tuesday.
