West African Football Academy frustrated Liberty Professionals to a 0-0 draw at the Sly Tetteh Memorial Park in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
Liberty Professionals were comfortable on home turf, stretching the visitors to their game plan and dictating the pace of the game.
But for most part of the first-half, it was WAFA goalkeeper Razak Abalora who stood between WAFA and conceding in the first-half.
In the last 15 minutes of the half, the game was reduced into a personal affair between young striker Issah Shaibu and goalkeeper Abalora.
Liberty coach George Lamptey was forced to make an unplanned substitution when full-back Moro Lamin suffered an injury.
Felix Addo tried a fierce drive in the 60th minute but Abalora blocked his effort. Majeed Ashimeru came close to opening the scores for WAFA.
