Timothy Weah, the son of Liberia President and ex-PSG and AC Milan star George Oppong Weah made his PSG debut on Saturday as Ligue 1 leaders beat Troyes 2-0.
Timothy, 18, came on in the 79th minute and looked bright in his limited touches. He had a golden chance in stoppage time to put his name up in lights as he had a clear opportunity with the goalkeeper after being put in on goal from the left flank. Unfortunately, his curling finish ended up in the midsection of the ‘keeper.
Missed chance aside, he showed his technique and pace in his short debut. Hopefully, this is the start of something special for the youngster in Ligue 1. With Neymar out, perhaps he’ll get even more chances as the season hit the home stretch.
