Executive chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Kwame Kyei has appointed Lawyer Yaw Acheampong Boafo to take charge of the club’s legal issues.
The new communications head of the club, Obed Acheampong revealed that the appointment letter of the renowned legal brain, spells out his role as the club’s new lawyer.
Dr. Kyei has so far made five appointments, including the latest been Lawyer Acheampong Boafo.
Ernest Owusu Ansah (P-Jay) is the Operations Manager, Thomas Boakye Agyemang is to represent the club in Accra as well as an added responsibility on the board; Rosemary Padmore Yeboah is the head of Administration with Obed Acheampong ending the list, as communications head.
Lawyer Acheampong Boafo was a member of the erstwhile Sylvester Asare Owusu administration which won the league trophy for the club for the first time in ten years, in 2003.
Acheampong Boafo worked with Kapital Radio in Kumasi as a broadcast journalist, and also he is the son of former MP of Subin, S. K Boafo a minister in President Kufuor’s government.
