Former Black Stars captain Abedi Pele has played down media reports of a frosty relationship between him and Black Stars coach, Kwesi Appiah.
The pair played together for the Black Stars and were engaged in a captainship row that many believe culminated in the premature retirement of the former Marseille man but Abedi Pele has revealed that he harbours no pain against his former mate.
Describing Kwesi Appiah as a good man, Abedi refuted claims of acrimonious relationship between him and Kwesi Appiah and courted for support for the later as he begins his second stint with Black Stars.
“Kwesi Appiah is a good man. Personally I have nothing against him. I want all of us to support him succeed as the Black Stars”.
Kwesi Appiah who arrived in the country last Thursday was at the El-Walk and Accra Sports stadiums to watch some MTN FA cup matches as he readies himself for second spell with the Black Stars
He has been given the responsibility to lead Ghana to the 2018 World Cup and also annex the 2019 AFCON that will be staged in Cameroon
