The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly has brought on board some legends including Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah to revive juvenile football in the metropolis.
Two ex-internationals Opoku Nti and Opoku Afriyie have been contacted to support the programme.
The Youth and Sports Development sub-Committee is targeting to develop and promote youth football in the region.
Metropolitan Chief Executive Osei Assibey-Antwil aunched the Assembly’s ‘Youth and Sports Development’ initiative at the Jubilee Park.
He expects the legends to play critical roles in serving as ambassadors, as the Assembly is seeking for sponsorship from corporate institutions to develop grassroots football.
