Kotoko Coach Steve Polack says his side can still catch up on the League leaders in the Ghana Premier League.
The Reds, currently fifth on the League table with 26 points are 9 points adrift leaders Aduana Stars who have 33 points to their credit.
The Porcupine Warriors defeated Tema Youth last weekend to secure their first victory after eight matches.
Polack believes his team can still catch up the pace at the summit of the table.
“We will be taking it one game at a time and see where we will get to at the end of the season. Eleven points to the top is still catchable,” he told the Club’s official website Asantekotokosc.
“Anything can happen in football. I don’t look at the table. My concentration is always on the next game.
The Englishman is ready to make use of the players available at his disposal.
“A coach recruits players in the pre-season to suit his philosophy. Now, did they bring the right players to him (the former head coach)? I don’t know.
“So when you come halfway into the season and after some number of games like this, then you have to find a system to suit the players who are already here. I will do just that.
“It would have been different if I came in the pre-season because then, I would have been able to say, I want this or that player depending on the strategy I want to play.”
A win over Great Olympics this weekend will enhance Kotoko’s chances of getting to the top and also keeping their hopes of winning the League title alive.
