Communications Director of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Obed Acheampong, is confident fans of the club will see evidence of the hard work put out by the playing body and the technical team when the Ghana Premier League kick-start on February 4, 2017.
Asante Kotoko have been in earnest preparation for the next league season and have been embarking on a number of friendly matches to test the team’s readiness for the league.
In one such friendly game, the porcupine warriors defeated local rivals King Faisal 2-0 at the Baba Yara stadium on Sunday.
Brimming with confidence, Mr Acheampong says Kotoko are going into the next season with the mentality of winning every competition they compete in.
“Kotoko is a club that goes to every tournament not to add up to the numbers,” Obed told Ultimate FM.
“We asked management to set target [for the season] and these are very achievable target that we are working towards it.
“We are working on the welfare of the players and certain equipment that will be needed by the team. The management are also in the market for players the technical team requested for.
“So we believe when the right things are put in place no matter how tough they will be, we will overcome them.”
Asante Kotoko managed to place fifth last season and look set to improve their performance and go ahead to win the premier league.
