Kingsley Sarfo has revealed he turned down GAIS and Hammarby to sign for Sirius IF
Kingsley Sarfo has revealed he turned down GAIS and Hammarby to sign for Sirius IF in the Swedish second tier three year ago.
The 22-year-old was transfered from Akosombo-based Golden Boot Academy in 2014 and helped them to helped qualify to the Allsvenskan last year.
Sarfo made a huge impact on his top-flight debut by scoring a brace in the 2-0 win at Djurgarden IF and has been in the news for all the right reasons.
”Before I went to Sirius, there were both GAIS and Hammarby who scouted me, but my agent had seen Sirius play and knew it would be the best option for me,” Sarfo said.
”I was told that AIK had shown interest, but I’m under contract here and focus on Sirius. So I do not think about anything else. No club has spoken directly with me, just with my agent.”
