Newcomers Karela United FC were held to a 1-1 stalemate by fellow debutants Eleven Wonders FC in their first ever Ghana Premier League game at home in Nzema Aiyinase.
Isaac Kwain replaced injured Godfred Saka in the first half to also make his debut.
Eleven Wonders FC made their early dominance count in the 12th minute when Abdul Wahab headed home a corner to put them in the lead.
The home side reacted quickly by dominating possession just after they conceded the goal.
In the 29th minute, William Opoku Mensah equalized proceedings for the Nzema Aiyinase based outfit.
Karela United FC couldn’t capitalize on their second half dominance to clinch all the three points in their first ever home game in the top-flight.
The “Pride and Passion” side will make the trip to Obuasi to face leaders Ashanti Gold SC on Wednesday.
