Ghana striker Jordan Ayew is set to mark his debut for Aston Villa in the English Championship on Sunday.
The West Ham United-target has been handed No. 10 jersey at the Villa Park with manager Roberto di Matteo expecting the former Marseille man to stay at the club.
Ayew, 24, is expected to spearhead the attack for Villa in their trip to Hillsborough this afternoon to face Sheffield Wednesday.
The Ghana striker emerged Villa’s top scorer in a troubled season last term as the under-performers were relegated from the English top-flight.
Tipped to stay at the former Lorient man is widely expected to dominate the Championship head as most managers have raved about his striking qualities.
Villa are hoping to open their campaign on a winning note against Wednesday.
