Former Ghanaian goalie Abubakar Damba wants Ghana head coach Avram Grant to consider inviting Sulley Ali Muntari back to the Black Stars team to bring stability and competition ahead of the 2017 Nations Cup which will be staged in Gabon.
The ex- Black Stars netminder speaking to GHOneTV sports said the current Black Stars team lacks ‘creativity and stability in midfield and the only person who can perfectly do the job for Avram Grant’s side is Muntari who was handed an indefinite suspension at the Brazil 2014 world cup together with Las Pamas midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng.
The former AC Milan experience midfielder has since not returned to the Black Stars team despite rendering an unqualified apology to the Ghana Football Association months ago.
The Black Stars under coach Avram Grant are currently on a five matches winless streak and also have a slim chances of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
The team has managed to pick just a point out of a possible six in their last two qualification matches.
It all started with a disappointing 0-0 draw at home against the Cranes of Uganda before losing 2-0 to Egypt in Alexandra.
