Chief Executive Officer of Inter Allies,Delali Senaye has revealed that the club moved their home matches to the El-Wak Sports Stadium due to cost involved in travelling to Tema every weekend.
The “ELEVEN IS TO ONE” side have been playing their home games at the mini El-Wak Sports Stadium this season and Senaye claims the decision to move was in the best interest of the club’s budget.
“Tema has not been bad for us in previous seasons. Last season we had difficulties, but that’s not why we left.”
Senaye told Citi-Sports “The reason why we left is that we are based in Accra and economically we can not sustain the distance of travelling to Tema everyday to train and play matches.”
“It was having a negative effect on us, and we thought it wise to move to El-Wak. So it’s basically because of economical reasons.”
Inter Allies are currently 7th in the league with 5 points from their first four games, they take on Wa All Stars next in the league.
