In-bound coach of Berekum Chelsea Svetislav Tanasijević has set his sights on guiding the club to a top-four place finish in the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League season.
The 41-year-old tactician is reported to be on the verge on penning a three-year deal with the Blues ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Despite yet to finalize the deal, the Serb visited the club’s training ground on Wednesday to have a first-hand feel of the players he will be leading in the coming season.
And during an interview with Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM, Tanasijević says he’s delighted with the work of his imminent team and quickly turned his attention on helping the side achieve a top four place finish in the league championship.
“I feel very good being here, good people and good town,” Tanasijević told Oyerepa FM.
“I have met the players, seen them train and they are not bad, we are preparing for the season and hope we will continue with such form in the future.”
“My ambition is to be in the first 3 on the table because we have young good players. I have not signed yet but will do so soon. I’m not here because of money, sometimes it’s not all about money. I am ready for the task ahead; I have told them we will attack, attack and attack.”
Chelsea finished 8th last term and will hope to better the position when the 2017/18 season gets underway.
