Techiman City FC schemer Baba Mahama says he is ready to don the Asante Kotoko colours if negotiations are successful.
Both clubs are at the advanced stage over the transfer of the talented midfielder but the interest from Aduana Stars has threatened his move to Kumasi.
Mahama scored four goals for the Techiman side in his debut Ghana Premier League season.
“I am ever ready to join Asante Kotoko and play for them next season. Officials are still negotiating the deal. I’m waiting for a fruitful conclusion so I can start working for the club,” he told Angel FM.
“For now it’s because negotiations haven’t concluded that’s why I haven’t joined the team yet.
“Every player making a move to a new club is aware he will face competition.”
