Ghana coach Avram Grant fears there could be a repeat of Brazil 2014 fiasco if the Ghana FA and Sports Ministry continue to have a go at each other.
The Black Stars are preparing for their 2017 Afcon final qualifier against Rwanda on Saturday, but the build-up to the game has been about off-field issues between the Ghana Football Association and the Sports Ministry.
The foreign players invited for the game had to fund for their air fares after Sports Minister Nii Lantey insisted the technical handlers invite local players for the game.
This has infuriated Grant who feels there could be a repeat of Brazil 2014 if the Ghana FA and Sports Ministry continue to have a go at each other.
“There are problems, and not everything is going well because sometimes there are problems with money,” he said during a media interaction
“We don’t have to wait for the last moment, we can always meet one month before to address problems, if we wait until the last minute what happened at the World Cup could happen again, I am warning, I will not let it happen, but it will come again.
“You remember what happened at the World Cup, it could have happened again, but as I have said, I will not let it because almost every time there is one issue or the other.”
