Black Stars management Committee member Wilfred Osei Palmer says he stopped Coach Avram Grant from going back to Europe after the team’s international friendly against South Africa.
According to the Tema Youth owner, Grant had planned to leave for holidays at his base in UK after the game against the Bafana Bafana on Tuesday.
Avram Grant has constantly being lambasted for his continuous stay in Europe since taking up the Black Stars job.
“After the game he (Grant) had planned to go back to the UK, but I had to stop him looking at the situation we find ourselves in,” he told Atinka FM.
“You know what has been going on and so it was important for us to meet him. We will be meeting him on Friday to discuss issues going forward.”
The Israeli tactician is expected to begin plans ahead of next month’s World Cup qualifier against Egypt.
The former Chelsea boss had continuously stayed in Europe with the excuse of monitoring Ghanaian players abroad.
