Ghanaian winger Yaw Yeboah believes he has done enough to merit a call-up for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations with Ghana after a solid start to the Dutch Eredivisie season with FC Twente.
The on-loan FC Twente star has scored two goals in 20 appearances (14 in the Eredivisie) for the first half of the season.
Yeboah, 19, is on-loan from Manchester City for the rest of the season and believes his performances over the course of the season should earn him a place in Avram Grant’s provisional squad for the competition.
“Yes I just hope I will get a call-up for the tournament, I believe I have been working hard at my club,” he told GHone TV.
“I had a good season with my club and I am here for holidays, I will be happy if I get an invite, it has always been my dream to play for my National team.”
Yeboah is in his second spell away from Man City’s Etihad Stadium after spending the previous season in the French Ligue 1 with Lille.
