Former Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer, Herbert Mensah thinks president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kwesi Nyantakyi has the potentail to hold a higher office in Africa and World football.
According to the president of the Ghana Rugby Federations, the Wa All Stars owner could land himself a top notch role in the continent’s football governing body and world football due to the outcome of the recent CAF election, which Madagascan Ahmad Ahmad defeated incumbent Issa Hayatou to become the organization’s first president in 29 years.
The soft-spoken Mensah believes should Nyantakyi climb the ladder in short time, it could lead to him leaving the Ghana FA boss role for somebody else to continue.
“Hayatou lost his seat, who would have thought,” Mensah told Asempah Sports.
“And I am sure there will be changes here in Ghana as well, Kwesi is destined for bigger things and he will at some point say, look am going to be the vice president of CAF and that will also open new doors for others.”
Kwesi Nyantakyi is a member of the FIFA council and also the president of West African Football Union.
