Accra Hearts of Oak have confirmed the appointment of former Gor Mahia and Zamalek coach, Frank Nuttal, as the team’s latest head coach.
The Phobians have been without a substantive coach since the exit of Sergio Traguil towards the end of last season.
Yaw Preko acted as an interim manager until the end of the season while Henry Wellington has held the fort since the start of 2017 season.
There was a lot of speculation surrounding the vacant post with former Medeama head coach coach Tom Strand being named in some reports as being in line for the job.
But the team has now settled on Nuttal who comes in with experience from working in Scotland, Egypt and Kenya.
The team announced the appointment via its official Facebook page:
Accra Hearts of Oak is delighted to announce the appointment of Frank Elliot Nuttal as the new head coach of the club.
The Scot has signed a two-year-deal and has already taken charge of training.
Frank Nuttal has rich experience on the African continent having won the league with Kenyan giants Gor Mahia.
We are happy to welcome him to Accra Hearts of Oak. #WelcomeNuttal
Nuttal was seen with the team at the El-Wak Stadium on match day one of the Ghana Premier League against Inter Allies but now that he has been confirmed, he will be on the bench for the match against Medeama at the Accra Sports Stadium.
