Managing Director of Hearts of Oak Mark Noonan has urged his outfit to improve their performance ahead of the much anticipated clash against Asante Kotoko on match day 10 of the Ghana Premier League.
The Phobians have started the season on a stuttering note after recording just three wins in nine games.
The Accra-based giants have gone nine seasons without tasting glory in the Ghana Premier League and per their current form that unfortunate run looks likely to be extended – a record which new managing director, Mark Noonan has bemoaned as they prepare to engage Asante Kotoko in Sunday’s Super Clash.
“We have to perform better in the Ghana Premier League than this,” Noonan told Citi Sports.
“A club like Hearts of Oak should be doing better [especially ahead of our game against Kotoko] since we have a lot of ambitions to achieve,” he added.
The American Marketing guru also hinted that Hearts will appoint a new coach if interim handler Henry Wellington and his assistant Edward Nii Odoom fail to live up to the expectations.
“The current head coach is on an interim deal and he has to prove himself going forward. There is a constant evaluation of him and his assistant’s work so they will have to prove themselves if they want the job full time,” he said.
Hearts are occupying 11th position with 11 points, six behind leaders Ashanti Gold.
