Accra Hearts of Oak board member, Frank Nwokolo Nelson has said the team will turn mid-week defeat to Tema Youth into a motivational tool when they face arch rivals, Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
The Phobians will host the Porcupine Warriors in the first meeting between the two sides this season with the away team bookmakers favourite to win the clash as the best performing side.
Hearts have had a topsy-turvy season with just two wins from the seven games played thus far and haven lost in mid-week to Tema Youth have fallen off the title pace.
But Nelson believes the team will use the defeat as a motivational tool to get one pass their sworn rivals who they have failed to beat at home in their last six matches.
“it [the defeat to Tema Youth] will be a motivational tool as the players know we cannot afford to lose to consecutive matches. Haven lost away and playing at home this time we’ve got win it, he told Class Sports
He added, “Kotoko won their last home game to WAFA and we’ve to do same. We need the three points to close the gap to the top spot sides.”
The weekend game will be officiated by FIFA referee Samuel Sukah.
