Malik Akowuah is likely to stay out for at least two to three weeks
Accra Hearts midfielder Malik Akowuah has been sidelined for weeks after picking up an ankle injury.
The player will stay out of action for at least three weeks to recover fully from his setback.
Akowuah suffered an injury in the team’s 4-2 win over Bechem United last Wednesday which eventually saw him miss Sunday’s 1-0 victory over Ashanti Gold at the Lane Clay Stadium.
Insiders reveal the player took a scan hence expected to be out for some time.
This will not serve as a good news for head Coach Frank Nuttall and Hearts of Oak fans following the player’s impressive output for the Club this season.
Coach Nuttall will now rely on the likes of Daniel Kodei and Samudeen Ibrahim to man the team’s midfielder in subsequent matches.
Hearts are gradually gaining their rhythm in the League securing their first away win of the season after a slow start.
