Former Asante Kotoko captain Joseph Hendricks has insisted that clashes between his former employers and Hearts of Oak goes beyond picking just maximum points.
The nation’s two most glamorous sides will lock horns in the first ‘Super Clash’ in week 10 of the Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Games involving the two sides have witnessed lots of antics, with both sides trying to gain the psychological advantage over the other, which makes it a fascinating duel in the country.
“Kotoko and Hearts games are not normal. But the good thing is that fans are thrilled with some good football. Players on both sides are poised for the encounter because it’s the biggest game on the local scene and players can sell their potential as well,” Hendricks told GNA Sports.
“Concentration is certainly high within both camps and people normally say form guide doesn’t count, but you need players with good form to play such matches coupled with spiritual fortitude ahead of the clash.”
The Porcupine Warriors currently sits fourth spot on the league log with 14 points, whilst Hearts is languishing in 11th spot with 11 points and this encounter looks some fascinating thrills come this Sunday.
