Head Coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Frank Nuttall, has defended his decision in fielding Cosmos Dauda against Tema Youth in match day seven of the Ghana Premier League at the Tema Sports Stadium yesterday.
The top goal scorer for Hearts last season has been heavily criticised by fans due to his dip in form in the ongoing season. In the game against Team Youth yesterday Cosmos missed alot of chances which could have secured a point for the Phobians.
The 23 year-old was the top scorer of the club after scoring 11 goals last season, but has somehow being misfiring in-front of goal in this year’s league.
According to Nuttal, his decision to start Dauda against Tema Youth was purely tactical.
” I kept Cosmos in the game because he was the fresher of the two strikers, and there where aspect of his game on the field that was good and the game plan was going well. You know I watch and see things fans do not see, so I’m not bothered by fans reaction, because am trying to win the game”, he said in an interview.
