Board member of Accra Hearts of Oak and Executive Committee member of the Ghana Football Association Frank Nelson has called on Ghanaians to respect the decision of Kwesi Nyantakyi to sack George Afriyie as his Vice President.
Nelson, a businessman and a top football administrator with massive experience believes it is the best decision for Kwesi Nyantakyi to have taken since he’s no more comfortable with his vice.
He argued that since the president appointed George Afriyie as his vice, it is only fair to respect his decision to oust him.
“He announced his displeasure to continue with George Afriyie who was his vice and I just want all to know that it’s not something that could be contested. It’s an appointed position, ” he told the media after the ceremony to honour CAF President Dr. Ahmad at the UPSA.
“He chose George to work with him and so if he says he doesn’t want to work with the person again, I don’t think I’ll have issues with him.
“He could have chosen anyone but he chose George so if he has decided to relieve of the position, why must we have qualms about that? We must all respect the decision,” he added.
Ghanaians have anxiously crossed their fingers waiting for the next FA Vice President to be named with many tipping Osei Kwaku Palmer of Tema Youth or Kurt Okraku of Dreams FC.
