Liverpool legend John Barnes has lauded the talent of Ghanaian youngster Christian Atsu, who is on loan from Chelsea to Everton.
Barnes, who played the same position as Atsu in his early days, is optimistic that the 22-year-old will be one of the surprised packages in the English Premier League this season.
“Atsu is a fantastic talent and I saw it at the World Cup, he was one of the few best players on the Ghanaian side,” the ex-England international said.
“He has pace, he is fast and he can dribble and has an eye for the killer strike, he will develop more in Everton and the EPL.”
Barnes added: “He is one of the youngsters you will love to watch on any day, he should just continue to keep his head down and cool and he will surely get to the top.”
The Ghanaian youngster, who was signed by Chelsea from Porto last summer, spent last season on loan at Vitesse Arnhem where he won the Player of the Season.
