Yusif Basigi has watered reports that he has been sacked by Sekondi Hasaacas but says he will not be on the bench for Sunday’s Ghana Premier League match against Aduana Stars.
The Black Queens coach was in-charge of the side’s training on Thursday afternoon despite widespread reports he has been given the heave-ho.
“Am affected with fatigue due to the Black Queens trip to Germany. Am not sick but it’s fatigue,” he told Aseda FM.
The club’s spokesperson Benjamin Quansah also collaborated that the coach remains at post and has the full support of management.
Basigi, named 2015 Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Coach of the Year, has been at the club for 14 years and doubling as coach of the ladies team.
He was promoted to head coach in 2013 when Kobina Amissah quit the club.
