Accra Hearts of Oak coach Frank Nutal after his first game in charge of the club against Medeama last Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium has stated that the Ghana Premier League is very competitive.
Speaking to the press after the match he gave his assertion of the Ghana Premier League and this is what he said “the Ghana Premier League is a very tough league – absolutely from both physical point of view and the standard among the players is good.
“You can see how the league finished last season with the point gap between the winner and the teams that were relegated. This shows the competitiveness of the league.
“After drawing two games, I don’t feel any pressure at all. What I see is challenges and opportunities to improve individuals in the team, there are bigger things in life that bring pressure. This is a good challenge which am really enjoying”.
“I can see good improvements in our performances in the two games we have played. I hope you recognised that I have been working with the players for just about a week and I cannot push them too much because we have games coming up. But I can say there are a lot of positives about my team”.
The Scottish tactician also spoke about the current crop of players in camp, saying “I am still assessing the players and what they can give to the team. Some of them have not seen 90 minutes and it is still early days for that but I have seen some good players in the team”.
Accra Hearts of Oak will play away to Ebusua Dwarfs in the third week of the Ghana Premier League tomorrow at the Cape Coast Stadium. Frank Nutal will be hoping to win his first game in charge of the club.
