Newly appointed Black Stars coach, Kwesi Appiah is of the view that his reunion with the Black Stars was an action of divinity.
Kwesi Appiah who arrived in Accra today to a rousing welcome believes that God wanted him to return to the Black Stars.
According to the ex-Al Khartoum coach, the campaign by majority of Ghanaians to have him back is a manifestation’s of God’s intention to make him the Black Stars coach once more since ‘the voice of the people is the voice of God’.
“Actually,I am very excited because i never expected so many people here at the airport. I really appreciate that”.
“I always believe the voice of the people is always the voice of God. I will take this opportunity to thank the President of the republic of Ghana,Nana Addo Dankwa akuffo Addo,the FA,and every Ghanaian for giving me the chance to coach the national team again. I will do the best that I can but I can’t do it without the support of Ghanaians”.
“For me to succeed, I need the support of every Ghanaian”.
“It always great to be back home. This is my motherland. Every Ghanaian will love to be at home and make sure he does what he can to help his nation”.
Kwesi Appiah has been handed a two-year mandate to qualify Ghana to the 2018 World Cup and also win the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations that will be staged in Cameroon.
