Ghanaian referee Daniel Laryea has been selected by CAF to officiate at the 2017 Africa U17 Championship in Gabon next month.
Laryea is among a host of referees appointed by the continent’s football governing body for the upcoming tournament.
The 30-year-old FIFA referee remains the only Ghanaian to earn the opportunity to officiate at the competition.
He is thus expected to leave the county before the tournament begins on May 14.
This ward off speculation about CAF’s supposed decision to blacklist Ghanaian referee’s due to the life-time ban on Joseph Lamptey.
