Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris is set to sign a contract extension with French Club Lorient.
The 25-year-old is ready to commit his future with the Club despite a looming relegation from the Ligue 1.
Waris was reported to be considering a move away from the Club but reports in France indicate the Ghanaian international could sign a two-year contract extension in the coming days.
The attacker has two more years left on his contract at Lorient.
His performance has however forced officials of the French outfit to extend his stay at the Stade du Moustoir.
The former BK Hacken forward has already scored 19 goals in 51 appearances for Lorient since his €5 million move from Trabzonspor two seasons ago.
He is the Club’s second highest leading scorer this season with eight goals, 4 goals behind Cameroonian Benjamin Moukandjo.
