The start of the Ghana Premier League has hit a fresh snag after the Ghana FA announced an indefinite postponement of the competition originally scheduled to start this weekend.
The Ghana Football Association released a statement to the clubs on Wednesday indicating that the start of the new campaign has been postponed indefinitely.
The Ghana Premier League was expected to begin this weekend, March 2nd and 3rd, however, an injunction was placed on the domestic top-flight by relegated Accra Great Olympics.
The Ghana Football Association launched the new season on Monday, after an Accra High Court threw Great Olympics case out of court.
However, the aggrieved former Premier League side returned to court to secure another injunction, calling for fair judgement of the case between them and Elmina Sharks.
