Ghana forward Dominic Oduro insists his side will do all they can to bounce back against Columbus Crew in the Major League Soccer on Saturday.
Remi Garde’s men will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing 2-1 loss against Vancouver Whitecaps in the opening day of the campaign.
And Oduro, who warmed the bench in the game against the Whites, is hoping they can respond positively when they host the Columbus Crew at the Saputo Stadium on Match Day two.
“It’s difficult to start the season on a losing note but that’s football and we have moved on,” the former Inter Allies forward told Ghanasoccernet.com
“We were looking to follow the momentum we had in pre-season and unfortunately we got that poor result.”
He added, “I think the next best thing from that is to, as players anyway, you want to get straight back out there and put things right.”
“It gives us the opportunity to do that tonight and it’s one that I’m sure the lads are looking forward to.”
The 32-year-old was quizzed about the prospect of facing compatriots Jonathan Mensah, Harrison Afful and fast-rising star Lalas Abubakar in the match, he answered, “We get along very well but like said earlier, we need the three points badly hence I have to put aside our friendship and make sure we come out victorious.”
“I believe they also feel same. After the game we’ll definitely talk and maybe have a nice time together,” Oduro deduced.
