Former Ghana international Osei Kuffour has lamented that Ghana football is gradually dying. Kuffour speaking on SuperSport as a panel, said the nation lacked the vision for development and planning.
“Our football is dying. We lack planning and we have no backup for our current players. We have no youth development. Our future is dead, with this attitude. I see no reason why we can’t build our team from the youth level”, he said.
“Germany decided to win the world cup in ten (10) years, and in ten years they won the World Cup in Brazil. Why can’t we plan and do same. What would happen in the absence of Gyan, Dede, Jordan and Atsu? There is no plan and future for our football”, he added.
Kuffour, who is now a pundit on SuperSport, played for Ghana at the youth levels through to the senior level.
