Ghanaian duo Harrison Afful and Lloyd Sam have been nominated for the Goal of the year award in the Major League Soccer.
Afful scored a stunner in Columbus Crew’s win over Chicago Fire two weeks ago.
The 28-year-old struck from 20 yards to beat Fire goalkeeper Sean Johnson in a game they drew 2-2.
The Ghanaian international is among four Crew players vying for the award in the Major League Soccer.
Compatriot Lloyd also scored from a wonderful set piece against FC Dallas.
Both players come up against the like if Didier Drogba, Stephen Gerard, Jozy Altidore, Giovanni Dos Santos, Bradley Wright-Philips, Kaka among others for the coveted award.
The two had a wonderful campaign for their respective Clubs in the just ended Major League Soccer.
