The communications director of the Ghana Football Association, Ibrahim Sannie Daara, says talks on possible friendlies with the USA and Russia are still in progress.
The spokesman was speaking in the wake of recent media reports that the football governing body has agreed to a friendly with the USA in Washington DC on October 11.
“The FA is in talks with Russia and USA, but they are yet to be confirmed,” Sannie told Happy FM.
“We want to use the games as preparations for the 2017 Cup of Nations and World Cup qualifiers.
“But we will make it public when it is confirmed.
“For now talks are still ongoing.”
Ghana will play Rwanda in their last match of the 2017 Afcon qualifiers next month, even though the Black Stars have already secured a ticket to the tournament to be hosted by Gabon.
The World Cup qualifiers, however, take off in October with a home game with Uganda.
