Ghana Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan left Ghana on Sunday, 20th July at 10pm to Al Ain to take part in the club’s pre-season training, two weeks after his friend Castro got missing in Ada.
Gyan and his friends including the musician went for a weekend fun trip at Ada, but their trip turned sour with news of Castro’s disappearance together with a female partner, Janet Bandu.
Castro and Janet are believed to have drowned, but after two weeks of searching for their bodies, many have given up hope that they may be found alive.
The Ghana striker, who is yet to recover from the shock of events of that day, will have to return to his club in the Emirates to continue his professional career.
Al Ain have been in Europe for their pre-season trainings with key striker, but he will join the squad for the second-leg of their tour where they will face a Kuwaiti team and Al Nasri.
Gyan, who led the Black Stars squad to the World Cup in Brazil, has recently received the good news of the birth of his first daughter, making it four children for him so far.
