Black Stars assistant coach Ibrahim Tanko says he is delighted that Ghana forward Andre Ayew has rejoined former club Swansea City FC in the English Premier League.
The 28-year-old completed a club record deal worth £18 million to rejoin his former side from West Ham United on the winter transfer deadline day last Wednesday.
“I think it is a good move for Andre Ayew to rejoin Swansea City. He is going back to a club he knows already where he enjoyed his debut campaign in England scoring 12 goals out of 35 games before moving to West Ham United,” he said.
“We all know what happened at West Ham and Andre had a lot of injuries but he still managed to play 40 games for them and scored same number of goals.”
Andre will be uniting with his brother (Jordan Ayew) once again at the Walsh club since both left Olympique Marseille in 2015 and 2014 respectively and the Ghana number two has hailed it.
“Going back to Swansea City is a smart move for him and don’t forget he is going to unite with his brother (Jordan).”
