Ex- Ghana player Wllie Klutse wants the Ghana Football Association to consider appointing a local trainer for the vacant Black Stars coaching job.
The GFA are in search of a new trainer for the job which became vacant this month following the departure of Israeli trainer Avram Grant.
Local media reports suggest several expatriate trainers have applied for the job but Willy Klutse wants the FA to look at a local trainer for the job.
“We have seen lots of white coaches, I think it is time we give the Black man a chance as well,” he spoke to Ghana Sports Newspaper.
“I believe when a Ghanaian is given the job he can do it better, we saw what Kwesi Appiah did when he was given the chance.
“I believe in the local coaches, there are lots of them in the local League and even outside the country.”
Reports indicate about 60 coaches have applied for the vacant job.
