The vice president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) George Akwesi Afriyie is unsure of attending the meeting between the FA and Great Olympics over the court injunction case.
Reports went rife that the nation’s football governing body will meet the management of Great Olympics on Friday, March 3, to have a dialogue over their court injunction which has foiled the start of the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League season.
The 2017/18 Ghana Premier League which was supposed to kick-off this weekend has been postponed after Great Olympics served the GFA with a court injunction for the second time.
The Dade Boys are not enthused over Disciplinary Committee ruling against them hence their decision to go to court.
And during an interview with Happy FM, Ghana FA vice capo George Afriyie indicated that he’s mulling over whether to attend the meeting due to his affiliation with the Wonder Club.
“Sometimes it’s wise to stay out of controversies. I might excuse myself from the meeting between the GFA and Olympics because I was once a board chairman of the club,” Afriyie stated on Happy FM.
The first hearing of the case has been set for March 15, 2018.
