The [email protected] Anniversary Planning Committee, has factored into its list of activities, the much awaited Freedom Fight Night, fixed for Saturday, March 11, at the Bukom Boxing Arena, Accra.
The night will feature, Lightweight world title challenger Richard Commey, who will battle Belgium’s Hedi Slimani, for the World Boxing Council (WBC) International Silver Lightweight Title, with Fredrick Lawson, taking on Jamaica’s Sakima Mullings, in a scheduled 12-rounder for the WBC International Silver Welterweight Title.
Bantamweight prospect Duke “The Baby Faced Terminator” Micah, will clash with Jonathan “El Fenix” Aguilar of Mexico, in a 12-round bout for the WBC International Silver Bantamweight Title.
According to the organizers, three other local fights will complement the three international fights, put together for the anniversary celebration.
Mr. Michael Amoo- Bediako, Managing Director of Streetwise Promotions organizers of the fight, expressed delight at the decision of the anniversary planning committee to support the event.
He said, his outfit was bent on giving Ghanaians a night of quality fights on the night and also offer the boxers an opportunity to take a shot at world titles by the end of 2017.
Mr. Amoo-Bediako called on all Ghanaians to fill the stands at the Arena to be treated with a good package of boxing on the night.
Dr. Jefferson Kwamena Sackey, Head of Media Sub Committee [email protected] Planning Committee, also pledged the commitment of the committee to the fight.
He said, the [email protected] Secretariat Planning Committee has given its fullest backing to the event and will support them in anyway necessary to ensure its success.
