Revered football administrator Fred Pappoe has relinquished his position as Chairman of the Ghana Football Association’s Match Review Panel, starrsportsgh.com has gathered.
Pappoe, a former Executive Committee member, who is a director of Ghana Premier League side Accra Great Olympics leaves after nearly five years handling the role.
He took up the position in September 2012 when he replaced the deceased Jordan Anagblah.
Starrsportsgh also understands that the Ghana FA has made a swift replacement for Pappoe with the appointment of Welbeck Abrah-Appiah, a former chairman of the Premier League Board (PLB).
Abrah-Appiah left the PLB just two seasons ago.
He, together with his panel members, now has a big task of handling issues relating to refereeing performance in the domestic competitions with last Sunday’s Super clash between rivals Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko his first major test.
Abrah-Appiah is expected to chair the Review Panel’s meeting on Samuel Sukah’s decisions in the Super Clash
