Former Ghana coach Avram Grant has taken a stinging pot shot at the Ghana Football Association claiming football in the West African country lacks direction.
Grant, was handed a golden opportunity to manage one of Africa’s greatest team’s, the Black Stars but his reign can be best described as mediocre.
He was given a task of helping the country bring an end to a 32-year-old wait for an AFCON trophy but he failed spectacularly with a frustrating fourth place finish to the dismay of 25 million Ghanaians.
And barely thirty days after the expiration of his contract has fired at his old employers by claiming football in the country lacks direction.
“With these great talents they deserve a treatment in the highest level today because they have the talents so if you the the under 17,20,23 and even the local teams they are blessed with talents” he told the BBC
“Key subject is about direction and policies and Ghana need to continue with the process that how it started with ”
“Germany is a typical example and in 2014 they won the world cup because they paid much attention to policies and directions from the scratch”he added.
