Former Asante Kotoko captain Joseph Hendricks has urged the management to augment their front line with quality striker ahead of the coming campaign.
The Premier League giants struggled in front of goal last term after scoring just 23 goals out of 30 games in the league.
During thr side’s CAF Confederation Cup campaign, the Porcupine Warriors failed to hit the back of the net from open play in the two-legged clash against Congolese side CARA Club as they crashed out of the competition 7-6 on penalties.
And with the Ghana Premier League start fast approaching, Hendricks has called on the management to recruit prolific hitman to help them achieve their goals in the season.
“I think Kotoko players did quite well despite their exit from the Confederations cup,” he told Cape Coast-based ATL FM.
“Notwithstanding, I also believe that the current strikers available to the team are not prolific enough to help the club win laurels especially, the forthcoming Ghana premier league.”
“People say there are no quality strikers in Ghana for now and I think the management should use the money and assets they promised the players prior to the start of the CAF Confederations cup to go outside the country and buy two or three quality strikers to be able to compete for the forthcoming Ghana premier league title,” he added.
