Ex-Hearts of Oak captain Amankwah Mireku has ripped into the current crop of players and blamed them for their plummeting form.
The Phobians took a first half lead on Wednesday but capitulated in the second stanza to lose 3-1 to Karela FC in the Ghana Premier League.
Hearts have lost four matches after eight rounds and that is very worrying.
”I’ve always said that the players make the manager, and not vice verca. The attitudes of the players doesn’t meet the standard of Hearts of Oak,” he told Citi Sports.
”When people call for the coach’s dismissal is baffles me. In my opinion the players should rather be sacked for poor performance.”
Hearts will take on Bechem United in Cape Coast.
