Ex-Ghana captain Stephen Appiah has been invited to play for Africa XI in a charity match against Morocco Legends in Marrakech, Morocco, tonight.
Appiah, who played for Udinese, Juventus, Fenerbahce, has joined other legends on the continent including ex-Portsmouth and Man City star Benjani Mwaruwari.
Samuel Eto’o, El-Hadji Diouf, Kalusha Bwalya and former South African captain Lucas Radebe are among the greats that form part of Africa XI.
Others to feature in the game are former Liverpool and Guinea striker Aboubacar “Titi” Camara, Ex-Senegalese midfielder Khalilou Fadiga and ex-Cameroon utility player Geremi Njitap as well as Nigeria’s Daniel Amokachi.
Wednesday’s match comes a day after the first ever Caf Women’s Football Symposium, which started on Monday and ended yesterday in Marrakech.
