Ghanaian-born Galaxy attacking midfielder, Emmanuel Boateng says he will relish the opportunity to feature for either Ghana or the United State at the national level, but has expressed keen interest in playing for the former.
The ex-Helsingborg IF midfielder, who is now making waves in the Major League Soccer (MLS) with his side, has revealed his admiration for national assignment and is ready to don the national colours of any of the two nations that are seeking for his services depending on the seriousness level of their respective gaffers in his pursuit.
”I was born and bred in Ghana and I’ve a lot of friends here. When it comes to the decision of playing a national team football, I think I’m ready for the task,” Boateng said on Kumasi-based Angel FM.
”If any coach in Ghana gets in contact with me and tells me that he’s in need of my services depending on the kind of talks we shall both held, I think I’ll make myself available for Ghana.”
”But then again, should I receive a call from both coaches of the nations[Ghana and USA], I think I’ll consider the one that will be more serious in my pursuit, although I’ll like to play for Ghana as I’ll be very much elated to embrace such an opportunity,” he reiterated.
